Parents who do not use all of their student days can speak with the school administrator regarding credit for those days. Some months have 17 or 18 school days per month; students who attend that frequently are encourage to sign up as full-time students to lower costs. The part-time tuition rate per day is based on the average number of school days per month, which is 17.

An example of the number of school days per month for the 2009 calender is as follows:
January - 17            February - 16    March - 18        April - 18            May - 16
June - 18                July - 18            August - 17        September - 18    October - 17
November - 17       December - 19

Tuition is not prorated for missed school days or holidays; full-time students are encouraged to use their PDOA days for missed school days. Students who will be absent due to holidays, vacations, illness, physician or therapy appointments should bring a note to school from their parents upon their return; parents should call to notify the school at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible. We understand that situations come up that are not planned and ask that you be courteous of our time as well. If it is not feasible for a student to attend full-time due to therapy and physician appointments or hospitalizations or other reasons during any given month, please notify the school ahead of time; we can move a student from full-time tuition arrangements to part-time tuition arrangements.

School Calender

Academy of the Possible is a year round school. Student attendance for full-time students is 180 school days per year. Parents can schedule days off using their Personal Days Off Account (PDOA). Academy of the Possible is closed on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays unless arranged privately ahead of time with the school administrator.

Personal Days Off Account (for full-time students)

The Personal Days Off Account or PDOA are days off that parents can schedule and use for any purpose including but not limited to illness, therapy, doctor or nurse practitioner appointments, counseling, vacation, holidays or other personal reasons. Parents are encouraged to spread these days out through the year, so PDOA days will not be used up all at once keeping some available for the end of the year.

PDOA accounts automatically include 29 days for students enrolled as of January 1, 2009 and are automatically adjusted for each new calender year.
